Some of you might be wondering why we have set up an online Forum so hopefully this will help to explain the reasons.
Our current methods of sharing information (e.g. verbal, emails, notice boards) have its limitations. For instance, the audience is limited, dissemination may not be timely or needs to be repeated, there is no archive and no suitable platform for inviting feedback. The Forum is a common messaging platform open to all members and is aimed at making discussions and decisions more inclusive while also supporting and enhancing our current communication methods.
You can use the Forum to make announcements, raise issues for discussion, canvas opinions, ask or answer questions, or just have some golf banter. It can also be used to send private messages to individuals without exchanging contact details.
Messages posted on the Forum can be stored indefinitely so you don’t miss anything important. They are organised and categorised for easy viewing and are fully searchable.
The Forum is a great way of sharing information with a wide audience and gives you the opportunity to view and contribute to discussions that you might not otherwise have been involved in.
We hope this encourages you to start posting on the Forum if you haven't already!
