Following our recent Slow Play campaign, the Ladies Section has compiled this set of guidelines for our members to follow:
Remember to record your start AND finish time on the scorecard
1. The player with the lowest handicap is responsible for the pace of play of their group. 2. One person tees off straight away whilst the other players write their scorecards. 3. At the green, position your trolley for the next tee so that you walk directly to the tee without impeding the players behind you. 4. The first person to putt out picks up the flag ready to replace it and move on. 5. If you are ready to play and others are not, play out of turn, if it is safe to do so. (Not in matchplay.) 6. Walk forward as soon as a player has taken their shot, without waiting for them to put their clubs away. 7. Keep up with the players in front of you and you won’t have to worry about the ones behind. 8. Be aware of what is going on around you and always try to think ahead. 9. In Stableford competitions pick up as soon as you are out of shots. 10. When playing pairs competitions, pick up if you can’t beat your partner’s score.
